The team of 10KB

There is no 'I' in software development. At 10KB we like to work together in a small and powerful team. Quality comes first, but a pleasant working environment and building lasting relationships are just as important to us.

The main ingredients of our team? Enthusiasm, creativity and flexibility. Supplemented with a healthy dose of level headedness, we work in a tight organization with a perfect balance between professionalism and fun.

b

Ewout Kleinsmann

Ewout sees an endless number of possible solutions for every software problem.

Still in highschool, Ewout already started tinkering with online applications. This hobby has now grown into a full-fledged software development company. When he is not at his desk, he likes to cycle or walk with his family (when the weather's nice), or test the food at every restaurant in the area (perfect for rainy days). Tips are always welcome!

b

Roland Boon

As a software architect, Roland knows how to get the most out of every innovative project.

As co-owner he has largely designed 10KB. But also literally, because he made a large part of the furniture himself. When he is not working on a creative project, he likes to go bouldering. In the climbing hall he is almost as agile as with his code ;)

b

Bauke Palstra

Bauke can transform any assignment into easily scalable, modular architecture.

He used to strive for a career as a firefighter, but later decided that full-stack developer was a bit safer. He is now both developer by day and developer by night. In his spare time he works on his own software projects.

b

Bren Schaap

Thanks to his love for puzzles, Bren knows how to solve every development issue as efficiently as possible.

During his Masters in Physics, he learned to code and if you have to believe his CodinGame profile he is ridiculously good at it (his name there is BeeGee). Bren used to dream of a career as an astronaut, but he realized soon enough that developing is preferable for your body.

b

Raymond Schonewille

Raymond started with us as an intern and has since developed into the usability testing expert of 10KB. If you have questions about two-factor authentication, Raymond is your guy!

Sometimes you have one of those interns that make you so happy that you immediately offer them a contract. Raymond was such an intern and is now a great addition to our team. Fun fact: Raymond is a Dutch Champion Acrogym.

b

Merel Botteram

Merel proved that she can think analytically, is intelligent and can devise smart solutions, during her Master's in Data Science. Webdevelopment she learned from us.

In her spare time you can find Merel at the karaoke bar. We could tell a lot of other things about Merel, like her love for plants, how the office dog prefers to lie under her desk, about how she starts talking about lunch around 9:30 AM. Although the most important thing is simply the karaoke bar.

b

Linda Klinkenbijl

Linda once started with us as a content marketer. Nowadays she organizes almost everything behind the scenes. From administration, to trips to IKEA for extra cutlery.

If you're reading this website and every now and then you think 'Wow, such beautiful sentences. I'm amazed by the content!', it's because of Linda. Let her know, she likes compliments!

b

Pippa

The one and only leisure and event manager of 10KB: Pippa! Pippa is responsible for the support and relaxation of our team. If one of us gets stuck, she'll happily offer a much-needed break in the form of a hug.

Although she takes her job very seriously, you will often see Pippa taking a beauty sleep in a corner. In her spare time she likes to go for long walks in the forest, swim or hunt leaves. Favorite food: cardboard boxes.

b

Martijn van der Heiden

Martijn is in his element when he can make awesome things that work. Starting with figuring out new techniques to further developing a future-proof product.

Driven, sharp, creative and full of hidden talents. Martijn likes to make light artwork, he is perfectly capable of plastering a house and secretly plays Age of Empires 2 till late at night.

b

Bas Smits

Bas likes to get the most out of every customer contact. Building long-term customer relationships gives him satisfaction in his work.

The goals he pursues consist of creating and increasing customer value and building lasting customer relationships. Bas is accurate, customer-oriented, proactive, flexible, representative and collegial. Besides his work, he likes (race) cycling, DJing and he likes to make time for cooking with his family!

b

Rick van den Berg

Rick once started as a technical application manager, where he became an expert debugger. As a programmer, Rick mainly focuses on preventing those bugs and making applications that keep working.

Outside working hours, Rick enjoys walking, gaming and watching movies and tv-series. Although socializing with his friends while enjoying a drink and a great conversation is definitely number 1.

b

Olaf Slomp

During his studies in Physics, Olaf actually liked the minor in computer science much more than analyzing the laws of physics.

With his analytical brain, he can't wait to start developing modular, scalable software. Want to meet Olaf in the wild? Then you have the best chance at House of Billiards, where he likes to play Snooker.

b

Adriaan Blankevoort

Adriaan is an old hand in the field. As a backend architect, he uses various techniques to develop software that is as stable as possible.

In his spare time Adriaan likes to be active and in nature. With gardening in his own garden (and then making jam from his own grapes) or taking long walks (he once walked to Spain).

b

Ted van Gageldonk

This abstractist in heart and soul decided to start programming during his master's degree mathematics. Ted is now a full stack developer who likes to see the results of the things he makes.

In his spare time Ted likes to exercise. He enjoys ballroom dancing, he has a very impressive top speed with his inline skates and he practices the yogi squat on a regular basis.

b

Remco van der Veen

This Ruby on Rails guru has joined 10KB to expand his stack. From React to Elixir, as long as there's something new to learn!

In his spare time Remco is a keyboardist in a metal band (they perform under the name 'Armed Cloud'), he enjoys strategic games like DND and Warhammer and he likes to watch movies (but no horror). Let him know if you have any fantasy movie recommendations for him!
