We are 10KB, a software company based in the Vasim in Nijmegen. We build and maintain custom software that our clients rely on every day. You will work with colleagues who enjoy figuring out how systems work, asking questions, and sharing what they know. Quality, performance, and security are part of our daily work.

What you will do as an Allround Developer
You will build new applications and develop existing systems. You will discuss decisions directly with colleagues and clients.
Our tools include Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and Python. You do not need to know everything already. You can learn from experienced colleagues, explore a technical problem yourself, and share your findings. Developing with AI and Cursor
AI tools such as Cursor are now part of our development work. They can help us explore a Glossary · In briefcodebaseA codebase is the collection of source code used to build and maintain a software product or component.Read more, work through a solution, or write tests. We discuss where they are useful and where we need to investigate further ourselves.
You remain responsible for the code you deliver. You need to explain what it does, check the results, and discuss decisions with colleagues. Code written with AI also goes through our reviews and tests. We consider which project data is appropriate to share with a tool.

Who we are looking for
You have at least one year of development experience, for example with Ruby, TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js, Elixir, PHP, or Python.
You have experience with or an interest in DevOps. Knowledge of Docker and Linux is welcome.
You want to understand how software is used and contribute to technical decisions.
You take a critical look at new tools, including code written by AI.
We expect you to work and think at least at the level of a university of applied sciences graduate.
Oh, and we would love it if you stayed for a beer at our Friday afternoon drinks.

What you get in return

Flexible working hours. We work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., at home or at the office. We schedule meetings when everyone is available. You can balance a longer day with a shorter one later.
A welcoming office in the Vasim. Our office feels like a second living room. There is coffee made from freshly ground beans and an office bar stocked with craft beers, alcohol-free drinks, and whatever else you fancy. In summer, feel free to come to work in shorts. Prefer to work from home now and then? That is fine with us, as long as it works for you.
Lunch at the office. No need to bring a packed lunch. We keep the fridge stocked with fresh food, including vegetarian and vegan options.
Pippa. Our office dog is there to lend a paw when your code refuses to do what it should, yet again.
A salary that reflects your experience and education. 10KB also pays half of your pension contributions, provides an internet allowance for working from home, and pays your full salary during the first year of illness.
